Nick75 DRAFTING FOR THECommanders
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall
B
ValueB+
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Commanders: B. There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Commanders never got to the one that mattered most. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Warren. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
They let Tyler Warren come to them and pounced at slot 29. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick61
Rnd2
TreVeyon Henderson
They read the board right and TreVeyon Henderson was the payoff at the Round 2 slot. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick128
Rnd4
Nohl Williams
A tidy bit of business in pick 128, where Nohl Williams graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick205
Rnd6
Tyler Cooper
Good price on Tyler Cooper in pick No. 205, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick245
Rnd7
Isaac TeSlaa
A clean, defensible pick in the 245th pick with a little surplus value in Isaac TeSlaa. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
