The Bengals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Malaki Starks fell into the 62nd overall pick.

The Williams pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. The cost of the Giddens reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
