Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesA+ FutureC
The Buccaneers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Buccaneers took Michael Harris a full 83 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

However the rest shakes out, Moore at that price is a win they earned. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Rueben Bain Jr.
In slot 22 they get a bendy edge with upside, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick57 Rnd2 Michael Taaffe
Michael Taaffe at pick No. 57 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick86 Rnd3 Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles at the 86th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick122 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
Value with a capital V on Tacario Davis in the 122nd pick, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick200 Rnd6 Michael Harris
They reached into another round for Michael Harris, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick238 Rnd7 Dante Moore
Dante Moore at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
