Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

The Jake Majors selection is the head-turner. The Packers reached 48 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In pick No. 23 they get a press-man option on the boundary, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Wyatt Milum
A reach for Wyatt Milum in the 54th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jake Majors
A wild overpay on Jake Majors in Round 3, Pick 23, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jackson Slater
A big swing on Jackson Slater at the 124th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick159 Rnd5 Emery Jones Jr.
They let Emery Jones Jr. come to them and pounced at slot 159. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick198 Rnd6 DJ Giddens
They will replay DJ Giddens at No. 198 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick237 Rnd7 Ja'Quinden Jackson
A tidy little value on Ja'Quinden Jackson in the Round 7 slot, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick250 Rnd7 Maxen Hook
Taking Maxen Hook in Round 7, Pick 34 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
