The Commanders let Emmanwori fall into their laps, and walked away with a D+.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Commanders spent the 245th overall pick on Jacory Croskey-Merritt, a name most had 37 spots down the list.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Emmanwori value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Blake Fisher gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
