A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bengals to a D+.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bengals would have aced it. DeMonte Capehart at pick No. 238 is 37 spots clear of where he belonged.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They banked enough surplus on Baker to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
