Grand theft in the Round 7 slot: the 49ers steal Monangai and grade out a B.

When a board-topper like Kyle Monangai slides to pick 249, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not.

Every board in the league had Ingram-Dawkins lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Kris Abrams-Draine gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
