Larceny in the 144th pick lands the Patriots a A-, Phillips and all.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jordan Phillips, the No. 108 name on the board, stolen at No. 144. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Patriots indulged a want in Alexander while a need in edge rusher and quarterback stayed open.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
