The Raiders got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Raiders torched the value chart for MJ Sherman, taking him 191 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. It is not that Bowman Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Raiders had louder needs to answer first.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Getting Walker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
