There is reaching, and then there is Ainias Smith at pick No. 105. The Broncos jumped the board by 36 and dared it to prove them wrong. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The McGlothern steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
