Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB
Daniels is the plan now, and the Falcons grade out a B+.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Getting Cypress II where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Nelson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In No. 8 they get a franchise quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick61 Rnd2 Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk at Round 2, Pick 29 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick74 Rnd3 Javon Bullard
Value with a capital V on Javon Bullard in the Round 3 slot, a genuine coup. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick87 Rnd3 Michael Hall Jr.
A tidy little value on Michael Hall Jr. in the 87th pick, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick109 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in slot 109 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick122 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
Fair-plus on Cedric Gray, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick145 Rnd5 Sincere Haynesworth
By-the-book stuff, Sincere Haynesworth at pick 145 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick189 Rnd6 Zion Nelson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Zion Nelson well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick205 Rnd6 Zakhari Franklin
Zakhari Franklin at Round 6, Pick 30 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick248 Rnd7 Fentrell Cypress II
Fentrell Cypress II in the 248th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
