RF4916 DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Ravens and Gabriel: B. Thirty-one other rooms let Dillon Gabriel slide, and the Ravens were the ones holding the card at pick No. 205. Highway robbery. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Mykel Williams
In slot 27 they get juice off the edge, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick59
Rnd2
Aireontae Ersery
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where Aireontae Ersery graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick91
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
They barely believed it either: Andrew Mukuba still on the board at No. 91. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick128
Rnd4
Anthony Belton
Value with a capital V on Anthony Belton in pick No. 128, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick136
Rnd4
Pat Bryant
Pat Bryant at Round 4, Pick 35 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick176
Rnd5
Dorian Strong
No edge and no loss on Dorian Strong in pick 176; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick178
Rnd5
JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues at the 178th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick185
Rnd6
Jack Kiser
They talked themselves into Jack Kiser at the 185th overall pick, and the board did not agree. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick205
Rnd6
Dillon Gabriel
The board fumbled Dillon Gabriel all the way to pick 205, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
Pick213
Rnd6
Kyle Monangai
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Kyle Monangai in Round 6, Pick 35. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick245
Rnd7
Nohl Williams
A wild overpay on Nohl Williams in the 245th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
