The Packers let Rakestraw Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ennis Rakestraw Jr. tumbling to the Packers in the 57th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Harris has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
