Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA FutureB+
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Rourke: B+.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kurtis Rourke got past him. The Seahawks do not have to explain a thing at the 212th pick.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
They took Tyler Booker at par in No. 34, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick50 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Marcus Mbow. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick66 Rnd3 Demetrius Knight Jr.
Demetrius Knight Jr. at pick No. 66 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
A tidy little value on Elijah Arroyo in slot 82, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick137 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick 137 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jeffrey Bassa
Somehow Jeffrey Bassa was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick187 Rnd6 Tyler Shough
You do not let a quarterback like Tyler Shough reach the 187th pick and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick212 Rnd6 Kurtis Rourke
They robbed the room for Kurtis Rourke here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick236 Rnd7 Miles Frazier
A straight-up fair deal on Miles Frazier at No. 236, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
