You can hear the double-takes from here. The Saints took Decamerion Richardson at pick 239, roughly 79 spots before his name belonged. It bottoms out at a F.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
