The Bears won the night they stopped Marshall Jr. from sliding. Grade: D-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent the Round 4 slot on Jasheen Davis, a name most had 32 spots down the list. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Bears indulged a want in Nwankpa while a need in quarterback stayed open.

However the rest shakes out, Marshall Jr. at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
