Grand theft in pick No. 161: the Vikings steal Barron and grade out a B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. Jahdae Barron, the No. 13 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 161st pick. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. The back end got a real overhaul.

The Joshua Ezeudu deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Somehow Jahdae Barron was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 22, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
