Draft Grade — Commanders

The steal of the weekend belongs to the Commanders and Anderson: B-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Aaron Anderson tumbling to the Commanders in pick 185 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
They took Arvell Reese at par in the Round 1 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick71
Rnd3
A.J. Haulcy
Steal is underselling it; A.J. Haulcy at No. 71 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick145
Rnd5
CJ Daniels
They read the board right and CJ Daniels was the payoff at slot 145. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick185
Rnd6
Aaron Anderson
They robbed the room for Aaron Anderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick196
Rnd6
Quintayvious Hutchins
Quintayvious Hutchins in pick No. 196 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick223
Rnd7
TJ Hall
TJ Hall in Round 7, Pick 7 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
