Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: A-. The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
With running back, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. If Smith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
