Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bears kept it disciplined and banked a B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bears reached some 33 spots for Chimere Dike, and value like that does not grow back.

The Warren pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In the Round 1 slot they get a workhorse for the backfield. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in the 39th pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick41 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at slot 41 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick72 Rnd3 Chimere Dike
They talked themselves into Chimere Dike at Round 3, Pick 8, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
They paid a round early for Jack Kiser in the 165th overall pick, more than the board wanted. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick168 Rnd5 Logan Brown
The board fumbled Logan Brown all the way to No. 168, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick240 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at pick No. 240 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A need, and now a little less of one.
