BLESSEDBYGOD22 DRAFTING FOR THEFalcons
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
C+
ValueC-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Falcons. Some picks age like wine; Collin Oliver at No. 218 will need to, sitting 74 spots clear of his grade. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.
However the rest shakes out, Alexander at that price is a win they earned. That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
JT Tuimoloau
In pick 15 they get a disruptor off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Pick46
Rnd2
Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka at slot 46 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick118
Rnd4
Darius Alexander
The board fumbled Darius Alexander all the way to Round 4, Pick 16, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick218
Rnd7
Collin Oliver
They left a pile of value on the table to take Collin Oliver this early at the 218th overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
Pick242
Rnd7
Teddye Buchanan
They jumped the gun on Teddye Buchanan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
