BLESSEDBYGOD22 DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Chiefs. The tape said wait; the Chiefs did not. Tyler Loop went at the 257th pick, a good 64 picks before the board was ready.
However the rest shakes out, Porter at that price is a win they earned. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Jalon Walker
In pick 31 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Tre Harris
A clean, defensible pick in the 63rd overall pick with a little surplus value in Tre Harris. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick66
Rnd3
Dylan Sampson
Dylan Sampson at the Round 3 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick95
Rnd3
Darien Porter
Darien Porter in No. 95 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick133
Rnd4
Kyle McCord
Nice patience on Kyle McCord, who had no business lasting to the 133rd pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick226
Rnd7
Kitan Crawford
A real head-scratcher, Kitan Crawford in pick No. 226 is miles ahead of his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick251
Rnd7
Theo Wease Jr.
Theo Wease Jr. at No. 251 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick257
Rnd7
Tyler Loop
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Tyler Loop. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
