A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B.

The pick that carries the class is Kevin Winston Jr., a safety the 49ers were happy to stop sliding in No. 113. Patience, rewarded. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Horsley proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
