Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Isaiah Bond, the No. 76 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 121. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Every board in the league had Gadsden II lower, and that gap is the story. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
