Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall A-
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB
Washington should have been long gone. The Eagles pounced, and earned a A-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: A'Mauri Washington, pick No. 97, roughly 74 picks past where he belonged. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Dylan Stewart
In Round 1, Pick 10 they get a premier pass rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61 Rnd2 Will Echoles
Will Echoles in No. 61 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick93 Rnd3 Ryan Coleman-Williams
Ryan Coleman-Williams in pick 93 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick97 Rnd3 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington at the Round 3 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115 Rnd4 Zeke Berry
They barely believed it either: Zeke Berry still on the board at the 115th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick149 Rnd5 Corey Myrick
Corey Myrick at the 149th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick157 Rnd5 Jayden Jackson
Jayden Jackson slipping to pick No. 157 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick166 Rnd5 Drake Lindsey
Drake Lindsey in slot 166 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick230 Rnd7 Earnest Greene III
A slide stopped in Round 7, Pick 9, with Earnest Greene III worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick245 Rnd7 C.J. Fite
C.J. Fite at the 245th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
