Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Commanders cashed the board's mistake on Bobo: B+.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Drew Bobo, pick No. 185, roughly 38 picks past where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Orlando Brown Jr. deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Ellis Robinson IV
In the 10th pick they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Yhonzae Pierre
Yhonzae Pierre in the 41st overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick77 Rnd3 Sammy Brown
A linebacker of that caliber at No. 77 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick116 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
No edge and no loss on Jayden Jackson in Round 4, Pick 16; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick145 Rnd5 Eli Bowen
Eli Bowen slipping to the Round 5 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick185 Rnd6 Drew Bobo
The board fumbled Drew Bobo all the way to slot 185, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick196 Rnd6 TJ Metcalf
No drama and no debate, TJ Metcalf went about where he belonged in pick No. 196. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick223 Rnd7 Christian Alliegro
Christian Alliegro in pick 223 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
