The steal of the weekend belongs to the Commanders and Metcalf: B+.

Somebody in pick 223 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while TJ Metcalf, the No. 195 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. If Alliegro pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Luther Burden III gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
