The steal of the weekend belongs to the Panthers and Burton: A-. Somebody in slot 112 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Panthers sat still while Jermaine Burton, the No. 56 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Adding Chandler Jones by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
