The Lions cashed the board's mistake on Higgins: C.

Call it larceny. Jay Higgins sat on the board until Round 6, Pick 18, and the Lions did not need to be asked twice. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

If Sheppard pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Hit on Princely Umanmielen and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
