The Saints found their guy under center in McCarthy: B-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Saints' quarterback, full stop. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They will need Harrell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Getting Simpson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
