The Chiefs spent real capital to be 31 picks early on Kenyatta Jackson Jr., and the board is going to hold them to it.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Ponds pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Love to cover a lot of smaller sins.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
