Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Corleone: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Dontay Corleone had no business being available in Round 3, Pick 27, and the Bills did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Job largely done: linebacker settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
In the Round 1 slot they get the heartbeat of the defense at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
Circle this one: Anthony Hill Jr. at No. 60 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dontay Corleone
Taking Dontay Corleone in pick 91 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick92 Rnd3 Malachi Fields
Steal is underselling it; Malachi Fields at pick No. 92 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jalon Kilgore
Value with a capital V on Jalon Kilgore in Round 4, Pick 26, a genuine coup. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick133 Rnd4 CJ Daniels
CJ Daniels at the 133rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick166 Rnd5 Aaron Graves
Aaron Graves in slot 166 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick220 Rnd7 Dane Key
They let Dane Key come to them and pounced at the 220th overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick228 Rnd7 Kaden Wetjen
Kaden Wetjen at Round 7, Pick 12 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
