Bernard should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a B.

Somebody in pick 91 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Germie Bernard, the No. 59 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
