Somebody in the 221st overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Taylen Green, the No. 183 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
