There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Cobee Bryant a full 26 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They banked enough surplus on Phillips to cover a lot of smaller sins. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The back end got a real overhaul.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
