The Panthers clearly saw something nobody else did in Rasheen Ali, taking him 72 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here.

They will answer for taking interior defensive lineman early while linebacker and safety went begging. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
