Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Jackson: B. Call it larceny. Khyree Jackson sat on the board until No. 144, and the Bills did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Rome Odunze in No. 28, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick60
Rnd2
Adonai Mitchell
Somehow Adonai Mitchell was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 28, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick128
Rnd4
Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher at the 128th pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134
Rnd4
Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy at the 134th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick144
Rnd5
Khyree Jackson
Circle this one: Khyree Jackson at pick 144 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick160
Rnd5
Tyler Davis
Taking Tyler Davis in slot 160 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick163
Rnd5
Javon Solomon
They will replay Javon Solomon at the Round 5 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A fine player at a spot low on the priority list.
Pick189
Rnd6
Sione Vaki
Sione Vaki in pick No. 189 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick200
Rnd6
Jase McClellan
A clean, defensible pick in pick 200 with a little surplus value in Jase McClellan. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick204
Rnd6
Steele Chambers
Nothing to complain about; Steele Chambers went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick248
Rnd7
Josh Proctor
Good price on Josh Proctor in the 248th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
