A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bills to a D-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Will Sheppard, 39 picks early at the 200th overall pick.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. McCord at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
