Grand theft in the Round 4 slot: the Steelers steal Dike and grade out a B-.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Steelers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most.

On value alone, Dike makes the weekend a net positive. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In pick 21 they get a long-term starter on the line, and a steal at that.
Pick83 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Maxwell Hairston at the 83rd pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick123 Rnd4 Chimere Dike
They robbed the room for Chimere Dike here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick156 Rnd5 Trevor Etienne
Trevor Etienne is a better player than Round 5, Pick 18 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The roster fit checks out.
Pick185 Rnd6 Connor Colby
They paid sticker price for Connor Colby in pick No. 185, and that is fine. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick229 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
Cam Jackson in slot 229 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
