The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Reaching for Sinnott left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

In the end it comes back to Olumuyiwa Fashanu, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
