Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Raiders fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B.

The Tyrone Tracy Jr. selection is the head-turner. The Raiders reached 36 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick41 Rnd2 Jordan Morgan
Nothing to complain about; Jordan Morgan went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick48 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
By-the-book stuff, T.J. Tampa at Round 2, Pick 16 squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick49 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
A straight-up fair deal on Braden Fiske at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick50 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Payton Wilson. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick77 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at No. 77 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick91 Rnd3 Braelon Allen
A premium they did not need to pay, Braelon Allen a notch or two before his time. The roster fit checks out.
Pick112 Rnd4 Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler in Round 4, Pick 12 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick114 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
The board had cheaper options than Theo Johnson at slot 114, and it noticed. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick117 Rnd4 Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Value said wait; Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the 117th overall pick says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick148 Rnd5 Luke McCaffrey
No edge and no loss on Luke McCaffrey in the Round 5 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick208 Rnd6 Logan Lee
They paid sticker price for Logan Lee in pick 208, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
