The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Giants reached some 151 spots for Devin Leary, and value like that does not grow back. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Giants paired the rookies with proven help, Kaden Elliss leading the way. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
