Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Giants robbed the room for Gadsden II. Final grade: B-.

Somebody in slot 219 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Oronde Gadsden II, the No. 181 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Sanders has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 7 of 9, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.

The back end got a real overhaul.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In No. 3 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value.
Pick34 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
They paid sticker price for Jaxson Dart in Round 2, Pick 2, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick65 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
They paid up for Donovan Jackson at the 65th pick when waiting would have done the job. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick99 Rnd3 Charles Grant
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 99 with a little surplus value in Charles Grant. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick105 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
A wild overpay on Darius Alexander in slot 105, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick154 Rnd5 David Walker
David Walker in the 154th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick219 Rnd7 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in pick 219 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick246 Rnd7 Shilo Sanders
A real head-scratcher, Shilo Sanders in the Round 7 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
