Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Packers never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Cooper DeJean
They paid sticker price for Cooper DeJean in slot 25, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick41
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
A clean, defensible pick in the 41st overall pick with a little surplus value in Jordan Morgan. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick58
Rnd2
Junior Colson
Nothing to complain about; Junior Colson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick88
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick91
Rnd3
Blake Corum
Fair-plus on Blake Corum, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at the 126th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
