There is conviction, and then there is this. The 49ers took Luke Lachey a full 67 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Edwards. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
