There was a run on nobody at that position, and the 49ers started one anyway for Nazir Stackhouse, 45 picks ahead of schedule. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
