The Broncos did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Anthony Gould fell into the 203rd overall pick. Put together, it is a D.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. With linebacker and running back unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Nourzad lower, and that gap is the story.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
