Draft Grade — Giants
Overall C
ValueB NeedA- TradesF FutureC+
The Giants lost the trade table, and the C tells the story.

The phones were a trap the Giants kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

If Coker pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Powers-Johnson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

If Malik Nabers and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Malik Nabers. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick35 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
A straight-up fair deal on Braden Fiske at slot 35, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick47 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson is a better player than pick 47 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick70 Rnd3 Javon Bullard
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Javon Bullard worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick71 Rnd3 T'Vondre Sweat
They did well to land T'Vondre Sweat in No. 71, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick166 Rnd5 Chau Smith-Wade
No drama and no debate, Chau Smith-Wade went about where he belonged in the 166th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick183 Rnd6 Jalen Coker
A real head-scratcher, Jalen Coker in Round 6, Pick 8 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
