The Giants lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. The Giants did not so much draft Taulia Tagovailoa as overpay for him, 63 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
Landing Abrams-Draine that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
