The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Shedeur Sanders, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

They are betting Weaver proves the room right and everyone else wrong. However the rest shakes out, Gadsden II at that price is a win they earned. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 8 of 9 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
